Out with the Old,In with the NewAs a young man I worked for my Grandfather's bus service while attending college. Every morning as I retrieved the vehicle keys I would find my Grandpa in the kitchen standing near the coffee pot with a cigarette in his hand and a cup already poured.
\\nThe nicotine smell mixed with the aroma of the grinds was smothering to say the least yet day after day I would find him standing there inhaling the fumes and consuming the hot brew. I was at the time twenty five but every since I could remember my Grandfather Smoked cigarettes and had a cup of Java available day or night. When asking him the importance or significance of his daily he simply replied with a shrug and said " Can't really say" "Guess this is all I know" "They say can't teach a old dog new tricks" Out spiritual journey assures us we will be tried by the tempter..... And if you been thru a trail you learn his tactics are vile and underhanded. In our long suffering thru we must recognize that although the snares and fiery darts my by coming from all directions, the tricks used to bind us up has never changed. John 10 v 10 \\nsays that the enemy roams earth seeking to achieve three things - NIV "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy" From the time of Jesus being tempted in the wilderness to present day the plan has not changed. None of us will be susceptible from satan however the word of God equipps us to not only recognize his tactics, but also combat it. \\nThe Bible (Our Weapon) has never suggested to me to go to the gym and lift weights, but has quit often instructed me to strengthen my mind and my spirit so that I may be prepared for the attacks of this world. Some might say we'll how do we continue to fall for the same old tricks but the Word of God says that We shall fall short of the glory \\n (Romans 3:23) There is no grey areas to His Word and it definitely does not come back void yet still be encouraged Saints for the word also states that even though the thief comes... so does God who gives eternal life - \\n"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 NIV\\n He is the "Treat" for every "Trick" we overcome in our lives so know the battle is already won - nothing can take the joy The Lord provides for us because no matter where you were in sin, once you accepted the Savior you were made new! Men and Woman of God walk in your renewed purpose and always be mindful of that old dog - and his same tricks #TeamOGS
